Spittal Pond
Bermuda’s most spectacular open space and largest bird sanctuary is excellent for bird watching. The views over South Shore are magnificent, the geology interesting and Spanish Rock and Jeffrey’s Cave offer special historical connections. A number of distinct habitats can be found in this 64 acre reserve, including: rocky coast, tide pools, upland hillside, coastal hillside, marine and freshwater ponds. Every February, the Trust hosts the Children’s Spittal Pond Nature Walk during the midterm break. Tours for all ages can be arranged to match curriculum needs.
