Verdmont, two of our most attractive and interesting properties,
are available for private functions. These beautiful old homes are
the perfect setting for your dinner party, wedding reception or
other special event. The buildings and grounds offer a magical ambiance
and an unforgettable experience. We provide the location; you determine
the event. A
guide can be made available for tours of the Trust property during
your function.
Outdoor
Receptions
Looking for a special place to host an afternoon lunch or garden
tea party? How about a unique setting for cocktails or dinner? Both
Waterville and Verdmont have well-tended grounds you are sure to
love. We can even serve as the venue for your wedding reception.
At Waterville: maximum of 200 people
At Verdmont: maximum of 75 people
Wedding
Ceremony
Make your day very special in a delightful garden setting. Waterville
, an exceptional 18 th century Bermuda house surrounded
lush grounds which include a gazebo and formal rose garden, is a
hidden treasure on the outskirts of Hamilton . Verdmont, a top Collector's
Hill in Smith's with sweeping views of the South Shore, is another
treasure sure to make your memorable day unique.
Indoor
Receptions
For a more intimate setting for afternoon tea or cocktails or candlelit
dinner:
Waterville has a drawing room complete with fireplace available
for your use: maximum of 30 people
Verdmont,
a 300-year old mansion is a unique venue for any indoor event: dinner
maximum of 40 people, cocktails maximum 60 people.
Alternatively,
the Trust has several friends willing to share their lovely homes
for your private cocktails and dinner: maximum of 30 people
Concert
or Lecture
With two adjoining rooms, Verdmont provides a unique historic setting
for chamber music concerts or specialized talks: maximum of 60 people
VIP
Guided Tour of a Historic House
A special VIP tour of Verdmont can also be arranged with champagne
and canapés or other refreshments, as you prefer. Arrangements are
subject to the National Trust's discretion. For
