Royal Gazette: Nominations open for National Trust Awards
Members of the public can nominate individuals, organisations or schools for the Bermuda National Trust’s annual awards.
Karen Border, BNT executive director, said the awards recognise those who work “year after year to preserve our heritage in a variety of ways.”
Nominations are open for the Cultural Heritage, Natural Heritage, Outstanding Young Environmentalist, Heritage Education and Young Heritage Leadership awards.
A statement said BNT will also present its highest honour, the Palmetto Award, “for outstanding service to the community in areas of concern to the trust, or service to the trust itself”.
Nomination forms can be downloaded from bnt.bm/about-us/annual-awards or collected from the trust’s Waterville headquarters in Paget.
BNT committees will research and consider all nominations, which must be submitted by midnight on April 10. The awards will be presented on June 25.
